DescriptionYijia studied BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. She says:
'Felt plays a crucial role in Nomad culture and their dwelling scenes. It is used by the nomad both interiorly and exteriorly. The portability of the material allows themnto take their home with them wherever they go.
In the Nightmare Series, I translated and gathered the fragmented scenes and senses from my nightmares onto felt and discuss the portability of dreams. I question if dreams could be a mobile physical belonging of mine and brought into various scenes and contexts to interact with the public. Traditional wet-felting and natural colour dyeing techniques were applied during the making process.'
