DescriptionJacob studied BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. This print is part of a larger installation examining the Granary Square area of Kings Cross and its private new-builds. Jacob says:
'The paper illustrates two interior acts. The first being a hand-drawn diagram of the
enclosed space that the work is situated in. This blueprint-like drawing uses solid blocks of colour to represent walls, and clear gaps to show windows or doorways. Lines cut through the diagram to illustrate every widest possible angle of seeing the interior space from the exterior of the building. The blackened areas show spots for potential ‘invisibility’ which act as hiding spaces from the outside view — the curtain in this installation being of the major disruptions of these sight-lines. A photograph below the diagram shows a cropped webcam still taken from the position of the projector. Feet appear below the curtain, with the figure’s identity hidden from view.'
