DescriptionFungai studied BA Drawing at Camberwell College of Arts. He says:
'The artwork is based on the theme otherness and the stranger and also thinking of this idea around cultural identity, trying to see how everyone is a stranger and how a community of strangers can interact when put together. The characters in the painting are looking strange and weird as if they’re telling a story. My process involves mixing different materials together and building up multiple layers of paint and in some parts I scrap out some of the paint on the faces to get different textures.'
