'The Digital British Museum is a virtual reality piece that is a digital version of the British Museum's Egyptian room. By 3D scanning various artefacts in the room using the museum's own Wi-Fi and then taking them out of a physical space and putting them into a 3D modelled, digital space, the artefacts have been digitally stolen from the museum. Many of the artefacts in the room were originally stolen from Egypt in the days of the British Empire. By digitally stealing the objects and putting them into a digital space, they are no longer constricted by their geographical location and have the potential to be anywhere in the world at any time. This means that in theory, the objects that were stolen have the potential to be returned to Egypt at any given time in digital form.'
