DescriptionMortiboys studied BA Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. He is a painter interested in abstraction and mark making, mostly working with a limited palette on a large scale. He has developed a stripped-back style stemming from a conversely chaotic and instinctive process, which involves pulling apart and reassembling source material. Thus his work is as much about the denial of gesture as it is a celebration of gesture.
