DescriptionMondal studied MA Painting at Wimbledon College of Arts. This piece is a response to immigration issues across the globe. His making process involves use of miniatures and images as physical remnants of the past. His personal way of articulation and genre construction create a form of ‘anti-history’ painting not about idealised compositions at the service of a national conscience, glorification of the past, or of heroes, but a critical analysis of relevant, recent political or historical events.
