DescriptionOno Sadakuro (斧定九郎) is a character in the 'Kanadehon Chushingura (仮名手本忠臣蔵)'. In the mid-Edo period, Asano Naganori (浅野長矩), lord of the Ako (赤穂), attacked Kira Yoshio (吉良義央) at Edo Castle. Asano, the alleged perpetrator, was executed by seppuku (切腹) on the same day however, Asano's subordinates were unhappy with the consequences of the incident and went to Kira's residence to kill him. The story of Shusingura is based on this scandalous 'Ako Incident (赤穂事件).'
