DescriptionFragment from a large service book, possibly a Psalter. Major initial "S", historiated; God is shown staring down from Heaven at King David praying, water/sea, foliate decoration, decorative overpainting in white (probably silver originally). Verso - textualis rotunda in Latin. The imagery seems to suggest that the figure is David.
