DescriptionThis scene features a deer, which also appears in other designs of the late 80s-early 90s, particularly in the designs for Stanmore Hall. Lethaby did design all the woodwork for Stanmore Hall aswell as five chimneypieces/fireplaces. Notes and specifications in Lethaby's hand. The inferred date (and the purpose) of this design are due to the rather naturalistic motif, the scene from nature.
