DescriptionKing studied MA Communication Design at Central Saint Martins. In this project, tweets from the account @realdonaldtrump are used to render an extract from George Orwell's Nineteen Eighty-Four. The narrative uses words from Trump’s tweets highlighted in red running vertically down the page, while the tweets are set horizontally. The juxtaposition draws parallels between the Trump administration and the dystopian world depicted in Orwell’s novel, reflecting on the influential role of social media as a form of publishing that has a serious impact on our politics, democracy and society.
