Artists statement: As a contemporary subject, I am intrinsically linked with technology; always connected to social networks, broadcasting to the world my every move through smartphones, tablets and selfie sticks. My body is made of flesh and bones that eat and shits but is simultaneously becoming a mesh of hashtags, GPS pins and flows of information. Every day if becomes harder to say where digital life ends and physical life begins. As a result, I am becoming 'like' image, one that is trying to catch up with the computational speed of the informational age and its ubiquity essences. This is the way I embody the network. It is a type of embodiment that lies between technology and the body, is neither material nor immaterial, but a grey area where differentiation and connection join, to become transmateriality.

Through my body, I am trying to understand better what makes us digital, material or whether, by generating this new embodiment - a trans-materiality- I am able to grasp a new way of understanding the dynamics of the information society we live. In my execution, I employ a wide array of media, spanning photography, video, 3D printing, coding and data streaming, where self-portrait and data manipulation of the image are used to produce installation based works, where digital and material collide.

Work includes digital file, plinth and monitor.
