DescriptionPrinted length of cotton: black and white classical scenes, hand printed by Hull Traders Ltd for the V&A exhibition 'A New Chintz Tradition'. The image depicts Dionysus, son of Zeus, who was often associated with leopards. According to one story Dionysus was kidnapped by pirates whilst sailing to Naxos, an island in Greece.
