Illustrator: Michael Wohlgemuth and Wilhelm Pleydenwurff
Medium: Black printing ink on laid paper
Object number: P.45.10
DescriptionPage 'CCXXXIII' or 233 from the Chronicle. Page number in top right corner of recto. There are two half-length portrait illustrations on the recto; one of a (Holy Roman?) Emperor, 'Linea Imperator Wentzeslaus Rex' (Good King Wentzeslaus?), the second is of a man named 'Jodoc Marchio Mozauie'. The verso features half of a large woodcut illustration of a town, 'Bressla', which continues onto the recto of 'CCXXXIIII' (or page 234). It is worth noting here that when using numerals to denote the number 4, Koberger set four 'I's rather than the more commonly used 'IV'.
