DescriptionStone studied BA Photography at Camberwell College of Arts. He is interested in the reasons for documenting within photography, particularly within the context of evidence and how well this is regulated. Here he has worked with existing mug shots of criminals and spliced them together to form new identities for the subjects. The resulting collages question how faces are represented and recognized and ask questions about the nature of identity, portraiture and impartiality.
