DescriptionPolymeni studied MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. This work is an extension of her ongoing project, Tasseography: the reading of the Turkish coffee grounds at the bottom of a white cup, supposedly revealing the future. Abstract forms are read as figures according to the interpreter's perception. The artist applies the same method and process to her art in order to challenge societal perceptions of gender and the body.
