DescriptionShezad Dawood studied BA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins. This piece is one of a series of film poster paintings meticulously recreating cult mainstream film posters from the West, each produced whilst the artist was working in Pakistan. In the series Dawood’s work appropriates various forms of popular Eastern and Western image-making to make sense of the artist's own cultural confusion.
