DescriptionChristiane studied PG Dip Fine Art at Chelsea College of Arts. She says:
'My work examines ways of representing what we know as visual "reality", present in photographic images, within a painting language. The painted image is concerned with painting, not with an indexical reference like the photographic image. The photographic image is concerned to something absent, whilst a painting depending on the way it is approached, refers to its own concrete presence in a present image.'
