DescriptionOne of a series of posters commissioned from the Central School of Arts and Crafts by London Underground. This poster was published by the Underground Electric Railways Company Ltd to promote travel beyond London – in this instance to the Mole Valley in Surrey. The Company came to operate the majority of the underground railway lines in and around London. It also controlled large bus and tram fleets and railway extensions into suburban areas.
