DescriptionOne of a series of posters commissioned by Frank Pick, Head of the London Underground, from staff and students of the Central School of Arts and Crafts and St. Martins School of Art. F E Jackson taught lithography and poster design at the Central School of Arts and Crafts. John Farleigh taught printmaking at the Central School from 1925 and succeeded Noel Rooke as Head of the School of Book Production in 1947. He designed posters for London County Council Tramways and London Transport from 1922 to 1963.
