Description2 sets of 2 figures playing Ban Sugoroku (盤双六, Japanese backgammon) and 'musashi' (a cat?). Ban Sugoroku was introduced to Japan in the 7th century. Sugoroku boards were often brought to marriages during the Edo period as one of the wedding implements.
