DescriptionEnoshima Shrine (江島神社) on Enoshima (江ノ島) is dedicated to Benzaiten (弁財天), the goddess of speech, the arts, and learning and was a popular sightseeing and pilgrimage destination for many people since the Edo period. The print depicts a scene, in which ladies are throwing coins into the sea and have small kids pick them up on the Shichirigahama (七里ヶ浜) beach.
