DescriptionThis collection of 16 etchings is selected from over 300 small copper and zinc plates etched in the British landscape during 1981, 1982 and 1983. For many years I have looked on etching as a simple, beautiful and versatile drawing medium in which the possibilities of pure black and white can be most extensively explored. This book can therefore be seen as an edited sketchbook showing some of my recent preoccupations. Several of the plates are precursors of larger images.
The 16 etchings are published in editions of 25 plus 3 artist's proofs. Numbers 1-20 and the artist's proof make this edition of 23 books.
