In 2013, fashion designer Katharine Hamnett CBE donated a collection of over 1000 textile samples to Centre for Sustainable Fashion at London College of Fashion. The samples now form an archive which spans two decades and represents Hamnett’s use of, and research into sustainable fabrics. The collection is divided by material composition including: Pure Cotton, Cotton Blends, Silk, Silk Blends, Hemp, Hemp Blends, Wool, Wool Blends, Linen, Recycled Polyester, Recycled Polyester Blends, Recycled Plastics and Miscellaneous.
